About Us

Takes the Cake was established by me Sarah Gallen in 2008.  After creating many cakes for friends and family my passion for baking all things sweet turned from a hobby into a full time business.  I have always been a bit creative, a bit of a perfectionist, and have a love for most things crafty.  Cake decorating allowed me a creative outlet to make something that will be admired and enjoyed by all.

I have trained with world renowned cake decorators both in Australia and overseas.  I also enjoy teaching my skills to other cake decorators and students.
